Hello! What is the TechQual whitelisting information? We always have an issue with our spam filters. Thank you!

As you may know, the TechQual+ system experienced an outage this morning which was related to a data center outage that occurred at one of UGA's facilities in Georgia. As a result of this outage, our database was corrupted. Our most recent backup was about 6 hours before the outage, so we feel good about our data backups (and we have numerous daily backups before then). Service is up - but I would appreciate everyone going in and doing some quick and dirty look at your data to make sure things look fine. Post any problems back to this thread.

Hi there. I was able to use this just now with no problem. Wordle uses a java plug-in, when you have your browser set to allow that it works fine. Best, Tim

Hi Dr. Chester, we are currently running our first TechQual survey at our institution. Thank you for all the work you have invested in providing this invaluable resource to others.

While looking through the survey results, I noticed links to "visualize responses with Wordle" in the "Suggestions" tab, but following them leads to an empty wordle.net page. I've since edited this original post inquiring as to whether this feature was broken to leave a word of caution to anyone else that may run into the same issue that Wordle requires a working Java plugin for your browser.

Regards,
Andrew

No - unfortunately we do not have type of granularity built in. Best, Tim

Hi Dr Chester,
Any way that I can create a custom role (i.e., IT Staff) to whom I can target specific custom questions? Seems like the "Applies to" field is hard-coded for only "Faculty", "Student", "Staff" and "Not Declared", is that indeed the case?

Sorry it has taken me so long to get to this. I need you to go try this one more time today, nothing the time (and time zone) of the exact time you made the request. Please report that back here so I can then go search the logs to see what type of exception is occurring. Thanks, Tim

I have been trying to get the full report to generate but I am not getting it in my email. I have checked my spam blocker.

you will need to close it, fix the error, and then reopen it. Same links will work.

Hello. My survey is open but I need to modify the text of one of my custom questions. It has a spelling error. Is it possible to close the survey, make the change, then reopen it with the same link?
Also, it is possible to remove the questions in the beginning of the survey that ask for gender and date of birth?

Though the editor supports the addition of images, they aren't supported on the actual page; sorry.

I have tried to use the insert image icon to add a header and footer to my notifications. I am pointing to a public google drive folder with the link of
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B853J1fLrrf8N2VHZ2RLUXFmaVU

but it does not display the image. This is a png file.

Survey Invitations in the Age of Phishing

The argument seems to be that without a URL linking to an internal web page, users would find it harder to distinguish the email from a phishing one.

After some further discussions with our Security team, we reached an agreement that the survey invite would include an informational link to an internal TechQual+ project site that implicitly confirms the validity of the techqual.org domain.

Thanks for the quick reply, Dr. Chester. I think ideally they would like for the assessment URL be customizable to point to an internal institute link that in turn links to the survey URL at techqual.org.

As we gear up to pilot TechQual by administering it within our IT organization, I am experiencing push back from our Cyber Security team for distributing invites with an external link (we elected to upload the respondent list to TechQual to allow the tool to send out invites).

Since the link generated by the [AssessmentUrl] placeholder does not seem to be customizable, how have other institutions proceeded, short of selecting to have TechQual generate a direct link to the survey and publish it in an internal web site?
